1. The art criticism process is a four step process. The first one is describing the artwork by listing what you see in the artwork. The second is to analyze the artwork by listing art elements and design principles. The third one is to interpret the artwork by finding what the mood and feeling is and how they are communicated. The fourth is to judge the artwork by describing what you thought of the artwork and if it was successful. 2. This box has a black and white color scheme and on the bottom corner there is a black zig zag thing and on the top corner there is a black side and a white side and on the top there is is a checker of black and white and it also locks together like two staircases. The glaze is not very symmetrical/ proportional in its shapes and it does not have a wide variety of colors. The feeling that is being communicated was indifferent and it was meant to be considered like a brain teaser. I think it was successful based on being creative because it had a very different lock mechanism than most vessels and in a good way it confused my mind looking at it. What is a technique you used in your artwork that worked well? Explain what technique it was and why it was successful. - I think my mixed media piece worked well in my opinion because I was able to express my imagination with all of the layers and they all came together really well.Do over: If given the opportunity, which project would you do over? Describe why and how you would redo this project. Reasons might include choosing a different theme, using a different medium or creating a different idea completely. Include photo. What was the warm up or sketchbook assignment that you learned the most from? - I learned from the sign language warm ups and the facial sketchbook assignment with the eyes and the mouth the most to me because I've never been good at drawing and through this whole semester we have been doing a different sign language letter each day and every it kept getting better. Also I've never been able to draw a good eye or mouth and I still can't draw a good nose but I've still improved a lot on that and I would not be able to move on in art if I didn't know how to draw. What is artistic style?
- Artistic style to me is when you have a specific moo or tone you convey in your pieces like in this one I tried to convey a dark gory type of mood.

1. I used paint chips and paint to make my sister but painting was not my original idea. I had planned to just use paint chips but I had ran out of time and I did not take a picture before I ruined it with paint. I think just the sketch for the outline of my piece looks kinda cool though like on it's own.
1. My process since the last post was glazing on black and white, and then firing again
2. I found successful the 3D squares because it really adds dimension to my piece. 3. If I did this again I might have done a different pattern design because it,s not very pleasing to the eye. 1. I plan on finishing my piece with a black and white patterned glaze. I think I might use my vessel at home as a place to put extra money that I have saved up. It also might be used for a place to put keys.
2. What I found most difficult so far was when my piece started cracking and I had to keep filling back up the cracks. 3.What I found the most successful is the 3D pattern and how the top just slides right on and locks in place 4. Up to this point my process was to first cut the slab into 5 little squares. Then to score and slip them together to make a box. Then I traced my design on the box, then I shaved down the box to make the pattern 3D. Then I cut the outline of the pattern through the box so it could open and close. I used 10 layers for my piece
1. I glued down rainbow colors of tissue paper in order from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. 2. I used tape to outline a line and then I used white acrylic to go in between the tape and then peeled the tape up to have two intersecting lines. 3. I cut out multiple pictures including cupcake, ice cream, cherries, and smiles and glued them on. 4. I used black watercolor to give a tint affect. 5. I used black acrylic to give a dark splatter tint 6. I used a liter to burn holes into my piece 7. I used string to act like the holes are getting sown up 8. I used red and black to outline the hole and the string to give a gory affect 9. I used dry paint chips to create 3D sprinkles 10. I used gold paint and splattered it to give my piece a shimmer My word/ words were "what was on my mind" and I portrayed it by creating this kind of dark happiness being torn apart and then being built up and fixed again. Originally I just had no idea what to do and then i just started using my imagination and then it all started piecing together. 1. My piece shows the theme of line through the action lines, the jump rope beads, and the blocked hands.
