For my 2 in 1 piece I used prisma color to combine a plane and a banana together. For the sky behind the plane I used chalk pastel to create more realistic clouds by blending the blue and the white to create a cloud shape. First I did my sketches and then I drew the outline of my banana plane and then I colored it, added some detail, did the sky, then made some clouds.

Michelle is a Senior at Apex High and she loves art. She has been through Art 1, 2, 3, 4 and is in AP art right now. She loves to make art with Prisma color here is one of her pieces that i really love:michelle-apex-2018.weebly.comI love how she made it look sooooo realistic! Meeting my mentor was great and I hope she inspires me to do more and explore with my skill set in art.
My inspired artist was Yujia Hu. He is 28 years old and originally from China but at the age of eight moved to Milan, Italy where he currently lives. This is also where he is a chef at his family owned Japanese restaurant. Yujia wanted to stay in his families area of business which was sushi so at 18 he was in art school learning the art of sushi, Itamae. He uses sushi to create shoes, rappers, and street wear that are 100 percent edible. He was inspired to make these things because he loves hip hop music, the rappers, and their style. His ingredients are sashimi, rice, seaweed, and maybe some avocado. I was inspired by this artist because he used what he loves and combines his work and that's very creative because not a lot of people think to do that. I think his art draws me in because not a lot of people create art like this out of something like sushi and that's really cool to me that he did something that I have personally never seen before.
